HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join our supportive school-based team in Leonardtown, Maryland for the 2026–2027 school year. Requirements

  • Graduate from an ASHA accredited Speech Therapy program
  • Current State Speech Therapist license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA when applicable
  • Current CPR certification
  • Efficient problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and time management skills

  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles, techniques, materials and equipment in pediatric speech therapy.
  • Ability to evaluate a patient’s speech therapy needs and communicate the patient’s needs to the legal guardian and/or appropriate parties involved in the patient’s care.
  • Ability to communicate with a high degree of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of CPT & ICD 10 coding procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of speech therapy principles and practices.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of computer programs (EMRs)

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech/language/feeding & swallowing services to the pediatric population age 0-21 with developmental, neurological, and medical based disorders in a school setting.
  • Perform highly responsible work that will promote quality patient care and efficiency.
  • Plan and administer evaluations, treatment plans, consults, screenings, and parent education.
  • Promote the overall health of the patient.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, therapists, BCBAs, school staff, and parents to provide holistic services.
  • Provide skilled speech therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
  • Adhere to state requirements for supervision of SLPAs and Clinical Fellows to provide services with the highest care standards.
  • Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs, instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment/follow up programs.
  • Promptly and thoroughly document and maintain clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
  • Maintain patient records confidentially.
  • Record treatment charges daily and complete documentation in accurate and timely manner.
  • Comply with the applicable State Speech Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulations.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
  • Maintain clean work area, clean treatment rooms and request needed supplies.
  • Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other professionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.
  • Keep regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.
  • Direct all patient scheduling matters through the front desk coordinator.
  • Attend meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
