The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will assume full responsibility for providing quality speech language pathology services in compliance with ASHA and SLP scope of practice. This role independently provides comprehensive services to improve patient participation, independence, and functioning through the evaluation of medical necessity for skilled speech therapy services, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, multidisciplinary team involvement, counseling, referrals, and education. The majority of hours are spent in acute care, but the position will be required to cover the inpatient rehabilitation unit, as well as, videofluoroscopic swallow studies. The position is 40 hours per week, day shift, with inpatient rehab facility and acute care cross coverage.
