About The Position
Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their Acute Rehabilitation team. This full-time position involves evaluating and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders to support patient recovery and communication improvement. The role is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to employee well-being and making communities healthier. Frye Regional Medical Center is a 355-bed acute care facility employing over 1500 professional and clinical staff, offering a broad array of inpatient and outpatient care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
- CPR certification required.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
- Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
