About The Position
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, supporting patient recovery and communication improvement. The role is with The Hospitals of Providence Rehabilitation Hospital East, an inpatient rehabilitation facility in El Paso, Texas, serving patients recovering from serious illness, injury, or surgery. The facility offers intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy for patients with stroke, brain injury, orthopedic trauma, and other complex conditions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
- CPR certification required.
- Strong communication skills and clinical judgment.

Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Educate patients and families about therapy goals.
- Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
