As a Speech Therapist (SLP), you’ll provide compassionate, skilled therapy to patients in their homes and communities. Working closely with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team, you’ll develop personalized plans of care that improve communication, safety, and quality of life, all while enjoying the flexibility to balance your schedule!

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Speech‑Language Pathology
  • Current licensure to practice in the State of Colorado as a Speech‑Language Pathologist
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Speech‑Language Pathology
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation for patient visits

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech‑language evaluations and assess home environments as appropriate
  • Develop and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, caregivers, and the care team
  • Provide speech‑language therapy services as ordered by the physician
  • Identify functional speech, language, and swallowing deficits and implement targeted treatment plans
  • Utilize specialized therapeutic techniques and equipment to improve patient outcomes
  • Recommend communication devices or adaptive aids as appropriate
  • Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate with physicians and care team members
  • Participate in case conferences, in‑services, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Identify needs for additional services and make referrals as appropriate
  • Supervise home health aides in tasks directly related to the speech therapy plan of care when applicable
