About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This is a part-time position split between Parkersburg, WV, and Elison in Marietta, OH. PRN is also available. A compact license in WV and OH is a plus. The role is located in an Assisted Living setting, offering a supportive senior living environment focused on independence and quality of life. It includes on-site rehab services for swallowing, communication, and cognitive support, flexible PRN scheduling, diverse caseloads, and opportunities to directly impact residents’ quality of life. Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
