About The Position

PruittHealth is hiring a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) / Speech Therapist in Athens, Georgia, to help patients improve communication, cognition, swallowing function, and overall quality of life. The role is based at a skilled nursing facility and offers compensation up to $130,000 annually, depending on experience, schedule, and location, plus a stay-and-earn sign-on bonus of up to $8,000. Clinical Fellowship candidates are considered where applicable. The position involves evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders; creating individualized treatment plans; tracking patient progress; documenting care; collaborating with the care team; and educating patients and families. Requirements

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.

Nice To Haves

CCC-SLP certification is preferred.
Clinical Fellowship candidates are considered where applicable.
Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, home health, or post-acute care is preferred.
Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by an ASHA-approved evaluation organization.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Perform dysphagia, cognitive, and communication assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient goals.
Monitor progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers.
Educate patients and families on treatment objectives and outcomes.
