About The Position
A well-established health organization in the heart of the Finger Lakes is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join its collaborative rehabilitative services team. You'll deliver individualized speech therapy across inpatient, outpatient, ALC, and skilled nursing settings — making a direct, measurable impact on patient recovery and quality of life. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- Eligible for New York State licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or CCC already obtained
- BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
- Ability to perform frequent standing with intermittent lifting, positioning, or transferring of patients or equipment
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of hospital experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and build individualized treatment plans based on physician prescriptions
- Document evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and required clinical reports accurately and on time
- Communicate regularly with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate seamless patient care
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home strategies
- Mentor and guide support staff involved in patient care delivery
- Maintain speech therapy equipment and contribute to developing new program services
- Participate in in-service education, professional development, and departmental committees
- Provide age-appropriate care across all patient populations in compliance with departmental policies
