The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at the West Valley Campus (K-8th Grade) is responsible for implementing student engagement strategies to ensure progress toward goals, conducting assessments and evaluations, writing and implementing individualized communication goals, and making data-driven instructional decisions. The role involves implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, developing treatment plans, providing speech and language services to students with IEPs, and potentially supervising SLPAs. The SLP will also write and attend MET and IEP meetings, consult with various stakeholders, follow school-wide systems, and deliver services in a classroom integration model. Additional duties include coaching staff on communication goals, supporting Augmentative Communication Devices, aligning with classroom curriculum, communicating with students and families, ensuring paperwork compliance, participating in training, maintaining attendance, and completing Medicaid billing.
