About The Position
The newly renovated Avante at Ocala Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide and direct Speech-Language Pathologist services to residents, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. Functions under physicians' orders.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for S.L.P.
- Current state licensure or license eligible.
- 0-3 years of long term care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide and direct Speech-Language Pathologist services to residents, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication.
- Function under physicians' orders.
- Assess residents with communications and swallowing disorders.
- Interpret and communicate results of assessments.
- Design and execute appropriate treatment plans.
- Document daily care as per established guidelines.
