This is a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position within the Inpatient Rehabilitation Program at Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center. The role involves evaluating and treating patients with various speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Responsibilities include developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, collaborating with healthcare teams, and managing documentation and billing. The position requires a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and a state-issued Speech Language Pathologist license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required within 90 days of hire. No prior experience is required, but intermediate computer skills and excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are necessary. The role involves direct patient care, including manual techniques, patient positioning, and transporting, which may require lifting and pushing/pulling. The SLP will also be responsible for maintaining productivity standards, adhering to billing and documentation policies, and ensuring a clean and orderly work environment. Professional growth is encouraged through continuing education and participation in department activities. The role may also involve supervising non-licensed personnel and supporting student clinical education.
