About The Position

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa, opening February 2025, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join their team. The role involves working in a new hospital with 60 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms equipped with cutting-edge technology. The position summary outlines the independent evaluation, treatment strategy determination, and delivery of services for speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The pay rate is based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Current State Speech/Language Pathology License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frame

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
