We have been in business for over 17 years , and as we continue to grow, we are looking for motivated Speech-Language Pathologists specializing in pediatric feeding and swallowing to join our team and provide quality care to our patients in a home health setting. Job Summary: The SLP provides speech and language therapy services to help patients improve their communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities and increase their independence and quality of life. This position involves working with patients and families in the home, following an individualized plan of care, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Requirements

Masters or Doctoral degree in Speech-language Pathology from an accredited college or university
Active Texas state license as a speech-language pathologis
Certificate of clinical competence from American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
Proof of current CPR certification.
Drivers License (required)
Car Insurance (required)
Basic computer skills for documentation and timekeeping.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled speech-language pathology services in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
Conduct evaluations and assessments of speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities as appropriate.
Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills.
Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapy activities, home programs, safety, and strategies that promote communication and independence.
Monitor patient progress and response to treatment and make appropriate recommendations.
Accurately document evaluations, interventions, progress, and other services provided.
Communicate and collaborate with physicians, caregivers, SLPAs, and other members of the healthcare team.
Supervise and provide guidance to SLPAs in accordance with applicable regulations and professional standards.
Participate in continuing education and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and payer requirements.
Evaluate children with feeding, swallowing, and oral-motor difficulties .
Complete comprehensive feeding and swallowing assessments.
Identify concerns related to chewing, swallowing, oral-motor skills, food textures, and feeding behaviors .
Provide individualized feeding therapy to improve safe and functional eating skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
