Speech Language Pathologist II - Pediatrics - Days
About The Position
This position provides evaluation, treatment, and follow-up services to the pediatric patient population with complex or atypical conditions. The role involves comprehensive diagnostics using advanced techniques for articulation, expressive/receptive language, cognition, memory, voice, and literacy. Targeted treatment planning based on patient evaluations to regain function, with continuous assessment and modification, is a key aspect. Clinical documentation, including patient records and billing, must be completed in strict accordance with departmental guidelines and professional standards. The position also participates in the clinical supervision of students.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of IL required.
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from a university program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association required.
- Holds or is working towards a Certificate of Clinical Competence of the American-Speech-Hearing Association.
- Pediatrics experience
Nice To Haves
- Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide evaluation, treatment and follow-up services to the pediatric patient population with complex or atypical conditions.
- Evaluates patients using advanced techniques for articulation, expressive/receptive language, cognition, memory, voice, and literacy.
- Establishes and administers sophisticated treatment plans based on patient evaluations to regain function, continuously assessing effectiveness and modifying as necessary.
- Completes all patient records, billing, and documentation in strict accordance with departmental guidelines and professional standards.
- Participates in the clinical supervision of students.
