About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. This role also supports the development of rehabilitation teams through clinical guidance and supervision of speech-language pathology assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students, as applicable.

Requirements

  • Master's: Graduate of an accredited speech pathology program
  • 2 years recent relevant experience.
  • SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
  • Critical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirement.
  • Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.
  • Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.
  • Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.
  • Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with cognitive, communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and strategies.
  • Document assessments, treatment interventions, and patient progress in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to assistants, aides, and students as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state, federal, and professional practice regulations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
