Speech Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) provides speech language therapy services to clinic patients. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate and accept direction.
  • Ability to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone.
  • Ability to think critically.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to recall information with accuracy.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • California license in Speech Pathology or has filed an approved plan for the RPE (Required Professional Experience).
  • Eligible for or currently holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or has filed an approved plan for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Has filed or has an approved plan for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

Nice To Haves

  • Conversational fluency in sign language or a second language, particularly Spanish or Vietnamese.
