About The Position
The Percy Hedley Foundation is a large regional charity supporting individuals with learning and physical needs, emphasizing a person-centered approach. Northern Counties School, part of the foundation, aims to improve the learning, wellbeing, and future life chances of children and young people with significant additional needs. Teachers, Therapists, and Learning Support Assistants collaborate in trans-disciplinary teams to meet each pupil's unique needs, believing in unlocking potential through detailed analysis. This role is for a qualified and HPC registered Speech and Language Therapist to join the Therapy team, providing input to pupils with complex speech, language, and communication needs.
Requirements
- Qualified and HPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Nice To Haves
- Dysphagia training would be advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide input to a caseload of pupils with complex speech, language and communication needs.
- Deliver individual and small group sessions.
- Collaborate and integrate with the trans-disciplinary team.
