About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) - Rehab for a 13-week travel assignment in Kerrville, TX. This position involves screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. The role requires utilizing standardized assessments, evidence-based practice, and adjusting treatments based on patient progress and outcomes. The SLP will also provide consultation and counseling to patients and families, communicate with healthcare team members, and maintain accurate electronic documentation. Participation in meetings, trainings, and supervision of CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists is also expected, along with adherence to ASHA and State practice acts.

Requirements

Must have at least 1 year of SLP experience
Must have LTC or Rehab experience
TX State License or Compact required
Must be CCC certified SLP
3 years experience holding active CCS-preferred
Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
Drug screen and background check (facility required)

Responsibilities

Effectively screens/evaluates/rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive or swallowing disorders and develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
Assesses patient’s progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Services are modified in relation to patient evaluation and referrals are made in relation to outcomes.
Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to the speech disorders.
Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
Provides comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.
Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy
Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements.
Participation in required meetings including but not limited to: patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, etc.
Participate in facility and company required trainings, in-services and conferences.
Able to obtain any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
Able to supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists
Adherence to ASHA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, ethics during professional practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
