About The Position

HealthPro Pediatrics is hiring a full-time SPED Paraprofessional in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. This W-2 position pays $25–$30 per hour and supports students in a school-based special education program. The paraprofessional works alongside classroom teachers, helps supervise students, and contributes to a collaborative team focused on helping children thrive. The role offers opportunities for mentorship and professional growth across school, outpatient, and pediatric settings.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Teaching Assistant/Paraprofessional certification where applicable.
Basic experience with computers and web-based programs, such as Google Meets and chat.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Enjoy working with teachers, parents, and students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree preferred.
Interest in pursuing a therapy or educational career.

Responsibilities

Assist with direct supervision of children in the assigned program as directed by the teacher or administrator.
Demonstrate understanding of students’ disabilities.
Load and unload students who use wheelchairs, if needed.
Demonstrate flexibility in schedule and activities throughout the day.
Contribute to a cooperative team approach and demonstrate openness to growth.
Communicate, collaborate, and cooperate with colleagues, supervisors, and students.
Maintain confidentiality regarding work with special education children and other staff.
Participate in meetings, training programs, and in-service sessions as assigned by the building or district administrator.
Perform other duties as directed by the Principal and Teacher.
