About The Position

Campus Adventures Staffing Solutions is seeking Certified Special Education (SPED) Substitute Teachers for long-term assignments at public charter schools in the RGV area for the new academic year starting in mid-August 2026. Once the long-term assignment ends, candidates will have the opportunity to continue working as a daily substitute at an adjusted daily rate.

Requirements

• Experience working in Special Education classrooms
• Ability to stay calm, consistent, and structured in high-need environments
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Flexibility to work across grade levels (PK–12 as needed)
• Bachelor's Degree
• Valid Special Education Certification
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

Nice To Haves

• Dyslexia Certification
• Experience in Life Skills, Behavior, or Inclusion settings
• Prior long-term substitute or lead classroom experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned with provided lesson plans and IEP accommodations
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and functional needs
• Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment
• Implement behavior management strategies and reinforcement systems
• Adapt instruction and materials based on student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and campus staff
• Track student progress and communicate updates as needed
• Ensure compliance with all SPED-related requirements and expectations
