About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join its team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The role supports laboratory testing by preparing clinical specimens for analysis, sorting and routing samples, and entering patient information accurately in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment. Work is performed according to established standard operating procedures. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to midnight, with overtime as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Comfort handling biological specimens.
Ability to accurately identify specimens.
Experience working in a team environment.
Strong data-entry and organizational skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

One year or more of experience in a laboratory, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
Unpack specimens and route them to their respective staging areas.
Accurately identify and label specimens.
Pack and ship specimens to the proper testing facilities.
Meet department activity and production goals.
Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Resolve and document problem specimens.
Perform clinical specimen accessioning and sample sorting according to established standard operating procedures.
