About The Position
This is a part-time Specimen Processor role with working hours from 9 am to 2 pm. The primary responsibilities include receiving and processing samples, registering new employees, batching specimens for the reference laboratory, and handling any issues with specimens. The role also involves confirming client and specimen details, examining specimens for adequacy and integrity, performing quality checks, and practicing effective handoffs with other teams.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Receive and process samples by scanning them into Meditech individually.
- Register new employees using information they fill out & send on specimen collection forms.
- Site batch all received specimens so that they are ready to be sent to Griffin Health’s reference laboratory.
- Tracks and efficiently handles all unlabeled specimens or specimens with miscellaneous issues by adding them to the correct shared document.
- Confirms accuracy of client and specimen details.
- Examines specimens for adequacy, integrity, and appropriateness of specimen.
- Practices effective hand off with Specimen Collection Team Leads & Couriers.
- Performs quality checks on all specimen collection forms.
