About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join our team in Danvers MA. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, communicating effectively with client office staff, and researching, troubleshooting, and resolving customer and specimen problems. The Specimen Processing Specialist will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices. We are looking for organized, accountable individuals who go the extra mile to ensure accuracy in millions of healthcare tests.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing or warehouse)
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Experience working in a team environment
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Experience with MS Office
Able to lift up to 40lbs.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

1 or more years of medical or patient facing healthcare experience

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
Communicate effectively with client office staff
Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
Meet department activity and production goals
Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Accurately identify and label specimens
Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated
Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client
