About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join its team in Woodland Park, New Jersey. The position performs clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment onsite at a client office. The role supports the preparation and handling of laboratory specimens so they can be tested accurately and efficiently. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with rotating weekends. The pay range is $17.75 to $21.00 per hour. Job offers are based on skills and relevant experience, applicable degrees or certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing, or warehouse setting.
Comfort handling biological specimens.
Ability to accurately identify specimens.
Experience working in a team environment.
Strong data-entry and organizational skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Experience with MS Office.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of medical or patient-facing healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
Communicate effectively with client office staff.
Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer and specimen problems.
Meet department activity and production goals.
Enter patient information accurately and on time.
Accurately identify and label specimens.
Pack and ship specimens to the appropriate testing facilities.
Review requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and update missing items.
Perform spinning, freezing, splitting, and other special services as needed based on the client.
Perform clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in an onsite, fast-paced, high-throughput environment.
