About The Position

Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processor - Lab to support our client's healthcare team in Seattle, WA. This role involves supporting the Specimen Processing Department in a fast-paced laboratory production environment. Key duties include data entry, specimen sorting, labeling, centrifugation, aliquoting, imaging/microfilming, and specimen pickup/delivery. The Specimen Processor must accurately process different specimen types according to the tests ordered, maintain high productivity, accuracy, and quality standards, and meet departmental deadlines. Adherence to all safety, compliance, HIPAA, and biohazard procedures is crucial. The role requires keeping the work area clean and organized and effective communication with team members. Candidates must be comfortable sitting/standing for long periods and working in a biohazard environment.

Requirements

• HS Diploma/GED required
• Strong computer/data-entry skills required — approximately 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour
• Must be comfortable sitting/standing for long periods
• Must be comfortable working in a biohazard environment

Nice To Haves

• Laboratory experience is preferred but not required
• Medical terminology experience is preferred but not required
• Hospital experience is preferred but not required
• Production experience is preferred but not required
