About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join our team in North Charleston, SC. This role assists with the preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, oversees the routing of specimens, and encourages process improvements. The Specimen Processor II performs quality assurance checks, resolves production errors, and engages in continuous process and service level improvements. This position is also responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures and performing administrative duties.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

• 3 years or more experience (lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment)

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas
• Encourage process improvements and best practices
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Resolve any production errors as requested by management
• Research and resolve any production errors while escalating
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
• Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures
• Perform administrative duties
