About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join their team in Woodland Park, NJ. This role is responsible for preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, communicating effectively with client office staff, researching and troubleshooting customer and specimen problems, meeting department activity and production goals, and accurately entering patient information. The position also involves accurately identifying and labeling specimens, packing and shipping specimens to testing facilities, and scrubbing requisitions. Special services such as spinning, freezing, and splitting specimens may also be required. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing or warehouse)
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Experience with MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

• 1 year or more of medical or patient facing healthcare experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Communicate effectively with client office staff
