About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join its team in Orlando, Florida. The role performs clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment, following established standard operating procedures. The position supports accurate laboratory testing by preparing, identifying, routing, storing, and shipping specimens and by resolving and documenting problem specimens.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM, with rotating Saturdays. Some overtime may be required depending on business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• One year or more of experience in a laboratory, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
• One year or more of medical or production experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to the proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Resolve and document problem specimens.
