About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join their team in Brick, NJ. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, unpacking and routing specimens, accurately identifying and labeling them, packing and shipping them to proper testing facilities, and meeting department activity and production goals. The position also requires proper preparation and storage of excess specimen samples, data entry of patient information, and resolution and documentation of problem specimens. The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

• 6 months or more experience (lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment)
• 6 months of medical or production experience

Responsibilities
