As a Specimen Collection Technician, you'll collect drug and alcohol specimens from drivers with accuracy, care, and integrity. This role is about compliance: following procedures, treating participants professionally, and ensuring smooth site operations. In addition to the collection process, this role will support business operations through various administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years in customer service or a customer-facing administrative role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable learning new software systems
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen, including THC
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • You do need to be someone who follows procedure precisely, communicates clearly under pressure, and understands that the integrity of each collection matters - to the participant, the employer, and to public safety.

Responsibilities

  • Check in donors, verify identification, explain the collection process, and ensure each person is treated with professionalism and discretion
  • Conduct collections of urine, saliva, hair, and breath specimens, maintaining strict chain-of-custody at every step
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage front-desk responsibilities between collections
  • Process invoices and collect payment for services
  • Maintain organized, stocked, and inspection-ready collection sites at both locations
  • Coordinate with the team during high-volume periods and step in where needed
