About The Position

The Specialty Systems Engineer will direct critical engineering support initiatives for Military GPS User Equipment (MGUE) and related development. This role involves evaluating and elevating contractor processes, including Built-In-Test (BIT) and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), to ensure maximum fault isolation and failure mode coverage. The engineer will also drive supply chain resiliency by executing Manufacturing Readiness Assessments and integrating risk management, threat assessments, and anti-counterfeiting measures into core program designs. This position serves as the primary authority enforcing specialty engineering standards such as parts management, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), and Failure Reporting and Correction Action System (FRACAS) across program control boards. Collaboration with government agencies, contractors, and testing organizations is key to planning and executing comprehensive test campaigns like Reliability Growth and Demonstration Testing.
