About The Position
Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. The Specialty RN Ambulatory for this posting will work in our Cancer Treatment Center at our Royal Oak hospital in a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinic. The candidate must be comfortable with accessing medi-ports, starting IVs, and monitoring patients for infusion reactions. The primary population would be pediatric patients receiving chemotherapy and blood transfusions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.N., M.S.N., or DNP/PhD) required from an NLN approved school of nursing
- 3 years of recent relevant acute care nursing experience, required
- State of Michigan Registered Nurse license, required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification, required
- APHON certification, required
- Previous experience with accessing medi-ports and starting IVs, required
- Specialty certification, required within 1 year of hire
