About The Position

Plans, directs, and manages the clinical activities of a specialty program, and provides specialty care either directly or indirectly to patients. Maintains and monitors the program database and analyzes the data. Serves as a liaison between nursing staff, medical staff, pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals, patients and their families. Works collaboratively with leadership teams to conduct needs assessments/gap analyses to identify interventions to address gaps in performance. The coordinator develops, plans, and implements education that facilitates the professional growth, skill development, initial/ongoing competence, and attainment of standards of care to enhance patient safety for direct care providers. They evaluate outcomes of interventions, with a focus on quality, safety, and evidence-based practices. The coordinator role requires a collaborative relationship with the leadership teams to implement changes and establish clinical accountabilities for program success.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of satisfactory RN experience; preferably in a designated specialty.
  • BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
  • Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in a specialty area.
  • Membership in a professional organization associated with specialty.
  • Program management, teaching, consulting, and outcome management experience.
