About The Position
This role involves a variety of maintenance and production support functions. The primary responsibilities include operating machinery to create custom components, building new equipment, and troubleshooting/repairing production equipment. The position also entails performing building maintenance, preventative maintenance, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. Additional duties may include local pickups and deliveries, assisting with truck loading/unloading, yard work, janitorial tasks, and supporting other departments with small jobs and repairs. The role requires the ability to work with PLCs, 3-phase voltages, and various hand and power tools, as well as specific experience with Bridgeport Mills, Metal Lathes, Surface Grinders, Metal Saws, and Welders. No CNC experience is required.

- Knowledge in cleaning duties.
- Ability to obtain a driver license with a B endorsement (may be required).

- Ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Some knowledge in carpentry.
- Ability to work with PLCs and the program logic.
- Ability to work with 3 phase voltages under 600V.
- Experience in running Bridgeport Mills.
- Experience in running Metal Lathe.
- Experience in running Surface grinders.
- Experience in running Metal saws.
- Experience in running Welders.
- Experience in industrial equipment repair and wiring control logic.

Responsibilities
- Operate mills, lathes, and surface grinders in making custom components.
- Build new equipment using mechanical abilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, replacing parts in a timely manner.
- Perform building maintenance and upkeep.
- Perform preventative maintenance following established PM procedures.
- Adhere to safety policies and maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
- Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and work-related injuries to the department manager or supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned with limited supervision.
- Perform out of facility local pickup and deliveries.
- Help in loading and unloading trucks when needed with use of a forklift.
- Perform outside yard work and policing of the area.
- Keep the dock and dumpster area free of trash.
- Assist other Maintenance personnel.
- Perform janitorial work, like mopping, sweeping, cleaning, etc.
- Perform small jobs for other departments.
- Perform building maintenance and projects as required.
- Change filters in all air handling units.
- Perform small repairs to production equipment in a timely manner.
- Fabricate and assemble parts, as required.
- Assist in building and developing new production equipment and methods.
