About The Position

Kaweah Health is seeking a Specialty Practice Manager for the rapidly growing Kaweah Specialty Practice Clinic - Akers. This clinic currently focuses on Orthopedics and is expanding its physical space. The role involves managing day-to-day operations and long-term planning of clinical services in collaboration with medical providers and patient care teams. The clinic is adding new practitioners and specialties, and the current staff includes Medical Assistants, patient access personnel, and an LVN. The position offers a chance to be part of a growing team in a community healthcare organization that provides comprehensive health services.

Requirements

Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, nursing, or equivalent combination of education or related experience

Nice To Haves

Three years of management experience in a multi-disciplinary clinic setting or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Manages day-to-day operations and long-term planning of clinical services in collaboration with medical providers and patient care teams.
Participates in the creation of a work environment and culture that facilitates personal growth and well being for all and fosters a harmonious working environment in which high quality, cost effective patient care, and customer services are consistently provided.
Responsible for department practices, operations and flow in coordination with the surgical and procedural areas.
Develops and monitors productivity metrics.
Responsible for establishing and updating written policies and procedures.
Collects clinical, financial and regulatory information and helps develop plans and proposals for new clinic consideration.
Develops and/or assists with preparing and managing budgets, and preparing invoices for the department.
Continuously assesses and improves operations as it relates to goals, quality standards, and patient satisfaction in coordination with clinic management.
Responsible for effectively handling patient complaints, patient problem solving, patient intervention, and patient service recovery.
Ensures providers are effectively supported in the delivery of medical care.
Follows through with applications of new programs for clinical services.
Prepares the discussion topics, agenda, and trainings for the monthly business meetings in coordination with management.
Acts as the clinic expert and is the resource person for Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.
Partners with the recruitment team in the recruitment and onboarding of anesthesia providers (if assigned to Anesthesiology).
Develops with appropriate personnel new anesthesia clinics as need arises (if assigned to Anesthesiology).
Coordinates anesthesia staffing and operations with the department of surgery, Cardiovascular surgery and other departments as identified (if assigned to Anesthesiology).
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
