Specialty Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for interpreting and entering prescription data in our pharmacy system, answering incoming calls, and completing outbound calls to / from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity. You’ll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details / clinical information. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Current Pharmacy Technician state license in state of employment without restrictions
- 1+ years of pharmacy prescription processing experience
- 1+ years of experience with computer navigation and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Ability to work between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday. Shift will be consistent once determined.
- Reside in one of the following states: Michigan, Florida, Arizona, Texas
Nice To Haves
- Specialty pharmacy experience
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or NHA)
Responsibilities
- Interpreting and entering prescription data in our pharmacy system
- Answering incoming calls
- Completing outbound calls to / from patients, physicians and pharmacists
- Ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity
- Working within multiple computer systems simultaneously
- Responding to questions or providing specific medication details / clinical information
- Verify appropriate and accurate patient information
- Enter prescription data into pharmacy system
- Contact patients, pharmacists, and providers to resolve issues
- Other assignments and projects as needed
- Maintain proficiency and quality as standardized by the department
