About The Position

Specialty Pharmacy Technician Provide hands-on support to patients and pharmacists to ensure high-quality care and medication adherence. Ideal candidate is self-motivated and interested in growing within a fast-paced specialty pharmacy environment. Onsite in the pharmacy, Monday - Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM.

Requirements

• 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience required
• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician License Required
• High school diploma or GED Required

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years preferred
• CPhT preferred
• Applicant will commit to obtaining the required certification within a mutually agreed upon timeframe. Continued employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, enter, and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist review
• Clarify orders with pharmacists and clinicians as needed
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations and ensure proper medication handling (e.g., refrigerated or hazardous drugs)
• Prepare medications and supplies for patient delivery
• Manage inbound inquiries and conduct outbound adherence follow-ups
• Secure refills and resolve insurance or financial assistance issues
• Maintain inventory, including ordering and receiving medications
• Communicate with patients to support medication understanding and adherence
• Input and manage data, adjudicate claims, and track follow-ups
• Identify trends, resolve issues, and support process improvements
• Maintain confidentiality and stay current with industry knowledge
• Perform other duties as assigned
