Hybrid requires 2 days on-site per week M-F Job Summary: Accurately inputs patient, insurance, and prescription information into the pharmacy system. Answers incoming calls and assists callers with non-clinical inquiries. Resolves and ensures proper adjudication of claims. Confirm patient benefits with insurance and determine required authorizations to assist the patient with coverage of therapy prescribed. Job Description: Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for answering in-bound calls and assisting customers with pharmacy related services. Obtain client information by answering telephone calls; interviewing clients; verifying information. Contact patients to schedule medication deliveries and verify correct address information. Maintains new and existing patient profiles and enters new prescriptions into patient profiles. Escalates calls to pharmacist for clinical inquiries and escalates grievances to supervisor. Ensures patient health information is preserved per HIPAA & PHI guidelines. Contact insurance companies for benefit investigation and coverage eligibility.
