About The Position

When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. Hybrid requires 2 days on-site per week M-F. This role accurately inputs patient, insurance, and prescription information into the pharmacy system. It involves answering incoming calls and assisting callers with non-clinical inquiries, resolving and ensuring proper adjudication of claims. The position also requires confirming patient benefits with insurance and determining required authorizations to assist the patient with coverage of therapy prescribed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • License Mass Registered Pharmacy Tech required.
  • 1-3 years related work experience required.
  • Previous data entry experience (minimum three months).
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Nice To Haves

  • PTCB certification.
  • Specialty Pharmacy experience.
  • Pharmacy data entry and PBM Billing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for answering in-bound calls and assisting customers with pharmacy related services.
  • Obtain client information by answering telephone calls; interviewing clients; verifying information.
  • Contact patients to schedule medication deliveries and verify correct address information.
  • Maintains new and existing patient profiles and enters new prescriptions into patient profiles.
  • Escalates calls to pharmacist for clinical inquiries and escalates grievances to supervisor.
  • Ensures patient health information is preserved per HIPAA & PHI guidelines.
  • Contact insurance companies for benefit investigation and coverage eligibility.
