Requirements

  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program with Board Certification.
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (specialty or retail pharmacy preferred).
  • Familiarity with NDC codes, insurance formularies, and pharmacy laws/regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, expert customer service and phone skills, and ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and operate computer systems for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Must pass federal background check, child abuse clearance, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Processing prescriptions—gathering and verifying patient and insurance details, labeling, filling, and securing pharmacist approval.
  • Partnering with insurance companies and patients to resolve coverage issues, process prior authorizations, and support seamless care.
  • Preparing and organizing shipments to patients, ensuring accuracy, stability, and timely delivery.
  • Managing pharmaceutical inventory—anticipating needs and ordering medications to keep up with patient demand.
  • Supporting patients with refill scheduling, medication counseling policies, and answering questions with compassion and clarity.
  • Tracking shipments, managing calls and emails, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
