Requirements

Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program with Board Certification.
1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (specialty or retail pharmacy preferred).
Familiarity with NDC codes, insurance formularies, and pharmacy laws/regulations.
Strong attention to detail.
Organizational skills.
Expert customer service and phone skills.
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and operate computer systems for extended periods.
Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
Must pass federal background check, child abuse clearance, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Processing prescriptions, including gathering and verifying patient and insurance details, labeling, filling, and securing pharmacist approval.
Partnering with insurance companies and patients to resolve coverage issues, process prior authorizations, and support seamless care.
Preparing and organizing shipments to patients, ensuring accuracy, stability, and timely delivery.
Managing pharmaceutical inventory by anticipating needs and ordering medications.
Supporting patients with refill scheduling, medication counseling policies, and answering questions.
Tracking shipments, managing calls and emails, and maintaining smooth operations.
Ensuring compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
