Summary Under the direction of the Pharmacist-In-Charge, practice in accordance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • A valid Pharmacist License, in good standing. (RPh Florida required)
  • Ability to become licensed in multiple states as required.
  • Two years minimum of pharmacy experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of laws pertaining to storage, recordkeeping, and dispensing of drugs
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously.
  • Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.
  • Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management.
  • Work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines.
  • Ability to perform repetitious work accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty pharmacist certification is preferred.
  • Specialty pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in resolving pharmacy service related complaints and concerns in accordance with company policy and promoting a positive customer experience.
  • Answering customer phone calls, doctor phone calls, and initial and final evaluation of prescriptions.
  • Practicing in accordance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Contributing to and supporting an atmosphere of effective teamwork.
  • Attending pertinent meetings when necessary.
  • Assisting in training and developing other pharmacy personnel.
  • Following and aiding in enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in the professional field.
  • Respecting and maintaining confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA.
  • Answering drug information questions as requested.
