About The Position

The Specialty Maintenance Technician is the one who makes sure our facilities and equipment don’t fall apart (literally). The spotlight's on making sure refrigeration, and HVAC systems are always in tip-top shape- installing, fixing, and maintaining like a pro. You’ll be keeping things running smoothly and safely, all while handling challenges with a good attitude and friendly demeanor.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a working knowledge of construction and maintenance trades, as well as their applications.
  • Spent at least 5 years wrangling refrigeration systems.
  • Must have state of Idaho HVAC/R license and be a Journeyman HVAC/R.
  • You’ve got your EPA Certification.
  • Must consent to and pass a background check.
  • Armed with knowledge about OSHA, EPA, OPS, ADA, Hazmat, and federal/state regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs., balance on a step stool or step ladder, and be comfortable working from floor to roof level.
  • A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a passion for sightseeing- as there will be travel between multiple Stinker locations!

Responsibilities

  • Save the day by tackling Maintenance Help Desk requests, focusing on HVAC and refrigeration, then smoothly slot them into the daily schedule.
  • Manage workflow to ensure deadlines are met, conducting follow-up on outstanding repairs related to prior maintenance visits.
  • Obtain materials, equipment and supplies for repairs.
  • Keep the lines open with the maintenance squad and supervisor, so you’re all on the same page about what's priority.
  • Complete paperwork related to compliance, repairs and maintenance.
  • Keep the grounds looking sharp.
  • Handle safety and hazardous materials like a pro, making sure you’re on the up-and-up with EPA and DEQ guidelines.
  • Stay current on codes, ADA requirements, and health department rules.
  • Guide and review contractor work on mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Whip up some snazzy status reports for the monthly maintenance meeting.
  • Prepare credit card expense reports for Accounts Payable and review fuel system compliance reports/issues.
