About The Position

The Specialty & Infectious Diseases - Sales Representative will support sales and marketing strategies for various specialty products, focusing on healthcare professional, office staff and providers for activation and opportunities. The candidate will be responsible for business development and performance by understanding the specialty/LDL ecosystem and key stakeholders, monitoring data analytics, and achieving HCP recommendations in line with each franchise/brand forecast. Additionally, the SCM will collaborate with the wider company field team and cross-functional business unit teams to ensure strategic implementation and pull-through for each designated client. The role entails identifying and addressing customer needs across multiple levels, given the ecosystem's complexity, to foster partnerships built on trust. Furthermore, the SCM will stay informed about competitor strategies and customer contracting approaches to capitalize on opportunities for business growth and franchise defense.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years recent pharmaceutical sales and account management experience in specialty therapeutic classes.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in sales and account management public and private sectors
  • Proficient in customer engagement and developing account business strategies.
  • Technologically proficient (e.g., MS Office, Power BI, Veeva, iPad).
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and influence senior management, key thought leaders, and customers.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to execute independently and discipline in deliverables.
  • Growth mindset, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Analytical and planning capabilities.
  • Strong prioritization skills with an understanding of how decisions align with broader corporate strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Active Puerto Rico Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Understand and Analyze the Clients: Grasp the logistics, contracting, decision-making processes, and product listing/formulary procedures within the account. Identify account stakeholders and comprehend their perspectives, competitors, and the relevant healthcare environment regarding product listing and purchasing. Conduct a competitor analysis for the account. Gain a thorough understanding of the account’s unmet and evolving needs in the purchasing or listing process. Assess the internal brand situation and needs in relation to this account.
  • Develop a Client Plan: Identify short- and long-term business opportunities and outline objectives for the client. Educate clients based on their needs and perspectives while considering competitive challenges and business threats. Determine how to leverage cross-functional internal resources to achieve vaccine recommendations for patients. Attain a comprehensive understanding of the company negotiating position concerning each product in the portfolio. Consistently meet KPI targets and objectives.
  • Execute and Monitor Health Care Provider Customer and Care Team: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers/stakeholders responsible for prescribing or recommending specialty products. Act as the primary interface for designated products and the business aspects of the client. Coordinate efforts from various functions/divisions when negotiating contracts or pursuing product listings. Consistently conduct product promotions while meeting all expectations. Utilize strong business acumen and financial skills to develop compelling, value-based offers for designated products. Monitor client performance (KPIs) according to the tracking plan and refine operational activities based on insights.
  • Care Team Engagement: Provides approved disease and product information and resources to approved members of the patient care team, including MDs, NPs, PAs, and other provider roles. Shares information on target profiles to support the identification of appropriate patients for therapy. Supports the education of and responds to questions from approved providers on the care team on the appropriate administration of the company products. Provides information and education to appropriate providers using approved resources on company patient support program to help address patient access and coverage issues.
