About The Position

Whaley Beverage, a new division of Whaley Foodservice, is seeking an enthusiastic professional for their Specialty Coffee & Beverage Service Technician role. This position involves performing repair, maintenance, installation, and refurbishment of commercial beverage equipment, including coffee, tea, juice, and espresso machines, across various customer segments. The role offers a competitive pay rate of $24.00-$28.00 per hour, with potential for a sign-on bonus for experienced technicians. Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • At least three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand technical documents and schematics.
  • Ability to write clear and legible maintenance logs.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees and customers.
  • Ability to work with and understand metric and standard units of measure in weights and pressures.
  • Ability to define problems and diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Ability to make decisions in the best interest of the customer and company.
  • Knowledge of the internet, smartphones, and tablets.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or similar programs.
  • Valid Driver License and driving record that aligns with safety standards.
  • Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications such as CFESA Certifications and/or Journeyman Licenses.
  • Training certificates from manufacturers and/or service representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain, install, or refurbish equipment according to established service schedules, company and factory standards, and within acceptable time frames.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify potential problems on location.
  • Apply knowledge of products and seek additional training and education as appropriate.
  • Document legibly and accurately all work completed and submit orders to office personnel according to company policy.
  • Work closely with management to ensure timely scheduling of work.
  • Maintain service vehicle in a clean manner at all times, including scheduled maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Maintain vehicle stock of service parts and tools to ensure service efficiency.
  • Build and maintain customer relations in the field to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company's image.
  • Offer assistance and instruction to other employees as needed in a teamwork setting.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to improve performance and reduce service issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacement parts, and maintenance activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
