About The Position

Whaley Beverage, a new division of Whaley Foodservice, is seeking an enthusiastic professional for the coffee and beverage industry. This technician will be responsible for performing repair, maintenance, installation, and/or refurbishment work for commercial beverage-related equipment such as coffee, tea, juice, or espresso machines across different segments. Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • At least three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand technical documents and schematics.
  • Ability to write clear and legible maintenance logs.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees and customers.
  • Ability to work with and understand metric and standard units of measure in weights and pressures.
  • Ability to define problems and can diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues. Including making decisions both in the best interest of the customer and company.
  • Knowledge of the internet, smartphones, and tablets.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or similar programs.
  • Valid Driver License and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
  • Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain, install, or refurbish equipment according to an established service schedule, company and factory standards and within acceptable time frames as well as troubleshoot and rectify potential problems on location.
  • Apply knowledge of products and seek additional training and education as appropriate.
  • Document legibly and accurately all work completed and submit such orders to office personnel according to company policy.
  • Work closely with management to ensure timely scheduling of work.
  • Employees must maintain service vehicle in a clean manner at all times, including keeping up with scheduled maintenance on company vehicles according to company policy.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Maintain vehicle stock of service parts and tools to ensure service efficiency.
  • Build and maintain customer relations in the field to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company's image.
  • Offer assistance and instruction to other employees as needed in a teamwork setting.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to improve performance and reduce service issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacement parts, and maintenance activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
