About The Position

The Specialty Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of care recipients and caregivers in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a leader of the healthcare team, they are directly responsible for the implementation of the Mission and Values and leads implementation of policies and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations.
  • Four clinical pastoral education units.
  • National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire.
  • 5 years Clinical and/or pastoral experience in a healthcare setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership in professional organizations such as APC, NACC, etc.
  • Participation in chaplain related, publication worthy research.
