About The Position

St. Lawrence Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and organized Specials Teacher to join our team in Utica, MI. This position may involve teaching a foreign language such as Spanish, French, or German, but is not limited to language instruction. The Specials Teacher will provide engaging and effective lessons to students in grades K-8, following the Avondale time share Course selection.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and effective classroom management abilities.
• Ability to engage and motivate students across a wide range of grade levels (K-8).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate

Nice To Haves

• Experience or background in teaching a foreign language (Spanish, French, German) or other specials subjects preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the Avondale time share course selection.
• Teach foreign language classes or other specials subjects as assigned.
• Maintain an organized and well-managed classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of students across grades K-8.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the overall educational mission of St. Lawrence Catholic School.
• Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents as appropriate.
