About The Position
This position is for a Specialized Programs Teacher Assistant III at Beatty Elementary School, working within the Autism-Intermediate program for grades 3-5. The role requires 9 months of employment with 7 hours per day.
Requirements
- High school graduation or other equivalent (General Educational Development [GED], foreign equivalency, etc.).
- Minimum of 48 credits from an accredited college or university or a passing score on the Educational Testing Service (ETS) ParaPro assessment.
- Experience working with children.
- Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or a similar organization. Certification must be maintained for duration of assignment. Certification training must be in-person and include a hands-on component. Online courses will not be accepted.
- High school transcript or other equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
- College transcript(s) from an accredited college or university, if applicable or copy of passing score on the ETS ParaPro assessment.
- Current CPR/AED certificate, as indicated above. A copy of the front and back of the CPR/AED certificate must be uploaded into the application.
- Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications.
- Out of District Applicants-REQUIRED EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: Please disclose the three (3) most recent years of work experience including dates of unemployment, schooling and volunteer work under the “Experience and Credentials” section of the application.

- Signing abilities (for the hearing-impaired program).
