About The Position
This position is for a Teacher Assistant III in a specialized program, specifically Autism-Primary, providing one-on-one support to a student. The role is for 9 months and involves 7 hours per day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university; OR 60 semester hours of credit from an accredited college or university; OR Pass the WorkKeys assessment with a minimum score of 4 in Reading for Information, 4 in Locating Information, and 3 in Applied Technology.
- One (1) year of experience as a Teacher Assistant; OR Two (2) years of experience working with children in an organized educational or instructional setting.
- Must possess a valid Nevada State Department of Education endorsement as a Teacher Assistant, or be eligible to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
- Must possess a valid Nevada driver license or ID card.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
