About The Position

This U.S. based position is a technical solution sales role focused on promoting the sales of On-Premises Power Monitoring software (EPMS, SAAS) and Cloud Based Analytics As a Service. The role also promotes metering, power quality solutions, relays, and instrumentation for electrical power systems. The Specialized Digital Architect is responsible for understanding customer needs, building technical value propositions, and acting as a technical expert within the Technical Competency Center (TCC) for the Digital specialty BU. The primary function includes supporting the One Services Selling Center, external partners, and distributors with deep technical Digital Services sales support, and potentially demand generation. The role covers the One Services West region (SoCal, Phoenix, Las Vegas) and will be based out of the SoCal Area. The focus will be on growing business with brownfield customers by evaluating existing electrical distribution infrastructure, promoting upgrades and expansions for IoT enabled equipment, installing power quality solutions, and capturing new service plans. Collaboration with other sales specialists within Schneider Electric is key to success. This is a Technical Sales role with a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) and aggressive growth sales quota, requiring strong competency in both sales development and technical skill sets, with an emphasis on demand creation and proposal writing. The position is supported by an inside sales representative (ISR) and a Digital Support Architect.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with electrical SCADA Software and Power Monitoring Software
  • Strong experience with Electrical Power Meters.
  • High proficiency in electric distribution equipment such as MV/LV circuit breakers and equipment, transformers or Variable Speed Drives.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of communications protocols such as MobBus RTU or TCP/IP, IEC61850, Ethernet IP, Zigbee, MQTT, ect
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements
  • Ability to work and contribute as an effective team player in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Ability to think out of box for creative IoT customer solutions to increase value to the customer
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology combined with 5+ years of relevant experience. Other near equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, Visio, Teams, Human Machine Interfaces and programmable controllers/IED’s
  • Ability to interpret contract documents and ability to clearly understand specifications and project financials
  • Developed interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers of various technical abilities, including experience working with contractors, consultants, and sales staff as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to various customer sites in One Services West region.
  • Consulting Sales Experience
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills
  • Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the sales of On-Premises Power Monitoring software (EPMS, SAAS) and Cloud Based Analytics As a Service.

  • Grow business with brownfield customers with existing Schneider Electric installed base solutions.
  • Evaluate a customer’s existing electrical distribution infrastructure and promote upgrades and expansions to create IoT enabled equipment.
  • Install power quality improvement solutions.
  • Capture new service plans that utilize EcoStruxure Advisory Services.
  • Cultivate customer adoption through basic training and enablement activities.
  • Create and capture sales targets by working with other sales specialists within Schneider Electric.
  • Develop projects and strategies without the use of bids by going to the client base and assist with developing an energy management strategy.
  • Write proposals to communicate effectively with the client.
